How to Use the Decks
A session with Death Bed Questions is not about rushing or finding perfect answers. It is about presence, honesty and listening.
Allow time. Light a candle, dim the lights, put on some soulful music if it feels right. Create a space that feels calm and safe.
Ritual Opening Script
Before you begin, create a moment of stillness. You may wish to light a candle, hold hands, or sit in silence for a few breaths. Then softly say:
“We come into this space with open hearts and gentle minds. We honour what has been lived, what has been loved, and what has shaped us. In this moment, there is no past and no future, only truth, only presence, only now. May our words be kind, our listening be deep, and love guide what is shared.”
Pause. Breathe together. Begin when it feels right.
Ritual Closing Script
When the session feels complete, you may say:
“We honour what has been spoken and what has been felt. We thank each other for courage, for honesty and for listening. May what has been shared settle gently in our hearts, and may love continue to move through us.”
You may finish with a hug, a hand over the heart, silence, or your own words of thanks.
Toast & Blessing
Lift a cup, a glass of water, tea, wine or simply your hands and say:
“To the stories that shaped us.
To the love that held us.
To the memories that live on.
To truth, to healing and to every moment we have left together.
May we speak with honesty and love without regret.”
Then drink, breathe, and remain together in quiet presence.
